From Yo-Yo dieting to Food Freedom

I haven’t always had a healthy relationship with food.

For the majority of my twenties and thirties, I was stuck in a frustrating cycle of yo-yo dieting. I tried every plan, every trend, and every "quick fix" going. In 2019, I lost 3 stone on a well-known meal replacement diet… but without the tools to maintain it, I quickly found myself back in old habits, watching the weight creep back on.

After years of losing and regaining the same weight, and sometimes even more, I finally realised something important. It wasn’t that I’d failed, it’s that the diets had failed me! I was never given the education, support, or flexibility I needed to make real, lasting changes. And once I understood that, everything began to shift.

That was my turning point. I realised that if I didn’t change my approach, I’d be stuck in this cycle forever.

 

So, I made a decision to learn. I educated myself on nutrition and behaviour change, and gradually started to shift my mindset around food. I discovered how to fuel my body without restriction, and built a lifestyle I could genuinely enjoy. I started strength training, worked on my mental wellbeing, and finally felt in control.

​During the pandemic, the idea for Diamond Nutrition really began to take shape. I was working long hours in a high-stress accounting job, juggling my studies in nutrition on the side, and I was completely burnt out. Like so many others, that time made me reflect on what I really wanted from life.

I knew I wanted to help others achieve what I had.

 

I wanted to be the coach I never had during all those years of dieting.

Ditch the diet mentality and finally feel confident about food

So, in 2021, I took the leap and left my career to follow my passion. I went on to qualify with an RSPH Level 4 in Nutrition and Weight Management, and in January 2022, Diamond Nutrition was born, a business built on compassion, evidence-based support, and helping real people make real, lasting change.

Now, I help clients ditch the diet mentality, gain confidence with food, and create habits they can actually stick to. I maintain my weight with ease, enjoy a flexible, balanced diet, and feel better in my body than I ever have.

And I want the same for you.
